UPCOMING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
September 23 - Little RocktoberFest - off garden opportunity to represent Dunbar Garden - must be 21+
The Little Rocktoberfest has chosen Dunbar Garden as the 2023 charity recipient! We have been asked to provide 15-20 volunteers for this event. The actual event is from 6pm-9pm but we expect to be on the setup crew so your help (plus a buddy if you want!) would likely be needed from approximately 4:30pm-9:30pm. If you can commit to the whole time that's great but helping with a 2.5 hour shift would also be greatly appreciated! Volunteers get to taste the festival offerings and will be given a ticket for a hot dog and chips, too! First 5 folks to commit will get a free Dunbar Garden t-shirt!! October 7 - Dunbar Neighborhood Association Festival support - in and around the garden

October 21 - Sunshine Market and Dunbar Garden Plant Sale, 9am-3pm
We will need help with setup, teardown and everything in between. We will need folks helping to direct vendors, monitor parking, plant sales setup and support, and probably lots of other tasks. It'll be a fun day and you will probably make a new friend and you earn yourself a houseplant if we don't sell out! Sunday, November 5 - Brunch in the Garden, 10am-3pm
We will need help with setup, teardown and everything in between. We will need help making tables pretty, checking in guests, serving food and beverages, cleaning up and lots more! Volunteers will be fed well so don't be shy telling a friend you have a fun way to give back to your community! First 10 folks to commit to volunteering at the brunch will get a free Dunbar Garden t-shirt! Submit the form below and put Brunch in the Garden in the ideal volunteer experience line.
WANNA HELP weed?
We love it when individuals and groups come help with general garden tasks. At any given moment in a garden of this size you can guarantee that there are weeds that need to be pulled! We are open Monday - Friday from 9am til 3pm. Weekend volunteer days can be scheduled on an as needed basis. Let’s talk about it! Our 2-acre space leaves lots of room for the grass to get wild! Weeds can be pulled by hand or we have gas powered and battery powered tools that you can use.
We also have opportunities for volunteers like helping with the markets on Wednesday’s and helping during events.
You can contact us to set up a group visit below. We will holler back at you as soon as we can! If you you’re in the neighborhood feel free to stop by and say hello. Our garden manager, Chris, will probably be out in one of the garden beds weeding! Find him and say hello!
